Hi! Welcome to my show! For my first ever project I decided to try and reacrate an ASMR video. In my video I make a cake then film a mukbang afterward. Read on to learn more about how the project came together!

For my english portion, I created a walkthrough of everything I did during the show. The good, bad, and ugly! Here that is below:
So since my cake had many specific ingredients I had to buy all the ingredients beforehand. And my recipe was in Korean! I had to go get help from my culinary teacher to help translate the metric system into the imperial that we use in the US. I also had to buy certain materials like a spatula to spread icing and measuring cups. I paid for everything myself! Which I'm very proud of. |
I had to bake my cake a total of three times before it came out ok and I was finally satisfied. The first time baking and i forgot the milk in my batter and beat out all the air I had spent precious time beating in. My cake had no rising agents so it was very important to be careful with the batter. The second bake was done well but had the same issue as the first, and I ended up with a semi-sweet pancake. I also had problems with my caramel sauce. It was very hard to try and keep the sugar from seizing Third times a charm right? My cake came out of the oven as I wanted it and I was so happy after being in the kitchen on my feet all day! Also filming by myself was tiring but if you want something done right you do it yourself!

I also created a mind map to explain how mukbang and ASMR originated and the similarities between them. The idea didn't really come something until almost the third week of the project, but I felt it was needed to help further connect my points together and explain something that everyone might not know about.
